WELCOME!

WELCOME LADIES!

You're here because you've received an invite to join us or perhaps have happened to stumble across our bible studyblog.

Yes, you read correctly.

You might be asking yourself, "How does a bible study blog work?" Don't worry, you're not alone because we had to ask ourselves the same thing!

So let me give you a bit of background about who we are and how we got here and then will tell you how we're going to proceed.

Singled Out Ministries was launched about five years ago in response to ministering to single young women. We evolved into providing opportunities and information to christian singles in the hopes of encouraging single adults in ministry. Our founders include Angie Tello and Laura M Leyva with a leadership team that has evolved over the years (we'll include bios as our study evolves). Singled Out Ministries took a hiatus in 2007 to pray and receive guidance and direction from the Lord as to how and where to proceed.

After several months, we have arrived here at this point: a women's online bible study. We've returned to our roots and are focusing on women's ministry once again. Doesn't matter if you're single, married, single again, about to be married, not looking to be married...our goal here is to encourage you in your walk with the Lord.

Let's get down to how we're going to conduct this online bible study.

First, we're going to use "Captivating" by John and Stasi Eldridge as our text. I recommend that you obtain both the book and study guide which can be found at your local christian bookstore or online at websites like amazon.com. You can click on the title of the book and it will take you to the page to order the study guide.

The great thing about this study is that even if you join midstream, you can still follow along and you can forward this address to your friends to join in!

A posting will be created for each chapter, using both the book and study guide, once a week - usually Sunday night or at the latest Monday evening. December 6th will be our first post and we will tentatively follow the chapters as the schedule below outlines:

Dec 6th - Chapter 1
Dec 13th - Chapter 2
Dec 20th - Chapter 3
Dec 27th - Chapter 4
Jan 3rd - Chapter 5
Jan 10th - Chapter 6
Jan 17th - Chapter 7
Jan 24th - Chapter 8
Jan 31st - Chapter 9
Feb 7th - Chapter 10

You are welcome to post comments or questions in regards to the weekly posts. This bible study is meant to be interactive. However if we find the need for greater interactivity, we will work to find a way to connect everyone.

Excited to see what's to come
